FAQ

How can I get the curated GWAS summary statistics?

In the information block of each GWAS in CAUSAL db, there is a link which usually directly links to the original file.

What should I do when I would like to perform fine-mapping on a LD block under multiple causal assumption?

Well, currently, CAUSAL db computes causal variants with maximum causal variant equals to 1. If you need custom the parameter of maximum causal variants, you can download the full data of the LD block with the "Donwload Data" button.

How can I find the SNP with only chr and position?

You can get the rsID of your SNP on UCSC Table Browser or other resources. Then search on CAUSAL db with rsID. Or you can search for a small region containing the position you have with "Position" mode and find out whether it exists in CAUSAL db.

Why I can't find the GWAS I want?

CAUSAL db has a series of quality control steps to ensure the quality of data. If you can't find your data, it probably have been excluded for some reason, for example, only having P value.

What will I get if I click the "Download latest release" link on the footer?

After click the link, an tar.gz archive will be downloaded. Decompression it and you will find 3052 (for now) files and each for a GWAS summary statistics. Every file has the same format and records the statistics and causality of the variants. And there is a file named causaldb_meta_info_v1.txt which contains the information of 3052 studies.
